Diagnosis of osteoarthritis in primarily healthcare is established from this order: patient's symptoms, clinical examination and radiological study. The aim of the treatment is primarily to control and mitigate pain, and to maintain and improve the ability of the joint to function. Non-medication treatments such as self-care control, therapeutic exercises and diverse exercises are a basis to slow down the process of osteoarthritis. MAKNEE is a tool developed to support the actual diagnostic chain and aims to both speed up the process and improve its reliability. For the development of the device, we have conducted a 100-person clinical trial on over 100 patients in hospital. Further clinical trials are planned for 2018, to validate the ability of our device to assess other knee disorders.
